Pousada Trijunção is a luxury eco-lodge located in the heart of the Brazilian Cerrado biome, the most biodiverse savannah in the world. This unique region is home to over 13,000 plant species, representing approximately 5% of all known plant species globally.
The Cerrado wildlife is equally impressive, with:
- More than 850 bird species
- 251 mammal species
- 482 reptiles and amphibians
- 1,200 freshwater fish species
Due to deforestation and habitat loss, less than 50% of the original Cerrado remains intact. Around 150 animal species are currently at risk of extinction, including iconic species such as the jaguar, ocelot, giant anteater, maned wolf, armadillo, and gray eagle. At Fazenda Trijunção, these animals live freely in a protected environment.
The lodge is part of a 33,000-hectare private conservation reserve dedicated to preserving the Cerrado’s flora and fauna. By hosting guests at Pousada Trijunção, the property promotes sustainable tourism and supports the rediscovery and protection of this vital biome.

It is at this moment that the guests, accompanied by specialized guides, have the opportunity to board the specially adapted safari truck and explore Fazenda Trijunção roads that meander through the vastness of the Cerrado. Under the mantle of the night, powerful lanterns make the animals’ eyes shine, increasing the chance of locating them in the darkness.
