Day 1: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
After arrival at the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro, our English speaking guide will welcome you (with name-board). He introduces you to the marvellous city and accompany you during the 45-minutes transfer to Guesthouse Bianca***, situated in the historical district of Santa Teresa. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast the guide will pick you up at the hotel at 09.00 AM for a Half day tour to the post-card of Rio de Janeiro, the 38 meter high statue of Christ the Redeemer, which was completed on 12 October 1931 on top of the Corcovado mountain (710 m. high) taking the cog train through the rainforest. To reach the top of Corcovado Hill, the train crosses the largest urban forest of the planet. The Tijuca Forest is located at the heart of Rio de Janeiro and it separates the South and North zones of the city. During the 20-minutes train-ride up the mountain, enjoy the lush scenery of the Tijuca Forest and beautifull views of the city way below. Return at the end of the morning via a panoramic road. Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Day at leisure. Enjoy the beaches, discover the city on your own or make an optional excursion (see section Rio de Janeiro). Overnight in your hotel. (B)
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguacu
After an early breakfast your guide will pick you up at the hotel for the private transfer to the airport of Rio de Janeiro in time for your domestic flight to Foz do Iguassu. On arrival our English speaking guide will welcome you (with name-board), you will be assisted with your luggage, followed by transfer to Hotel Iguassu Charm Suites***. Rest of the day at leisure. Day 5: Foz do Iguaçu
After breakfast your guide will pick you up at the hotel for a visit to the Brazilian site of the magnificient Iguaçu Falls. Following the walkways that border the canyon of the Iguassu River. It is possible to observe hundreds of small waterfalls until where the last fall Floriano Falls is reached. There, a complete frontal view of Devils Throat can be seen. In the afternoon a visit to the Argentinean side of the falls, getting in Argentina through the Tancredo Neves bridge, built on the Iguassu River. Trails through the 55.500 hectares reserve provide the pleasure of a different, more complete view of the falls;specially the biggest one, the Devils Throat. Lower and upper walkways permit a closer look at the waterfalls. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in your hotel. (B)
Day 6: Foz do Iguaçu
Day at leisure. Enjoy the city or take an optional excursion. Overnight in your hotel. (B)
Day 7: Foz do Iguaçu - Amazon - Amazon Ecopark Lodge
After an early breakfast your guide will pick you up at the hotel and take care of the transfer to the airport of Foz do Iguassu in time for your domestic flight to Manaus. On arrival at the airport of Manaus our English speaking guide will welcome you (with name-board), you will be assisted with your luggage, followed by the transfer to the Amazon Ecopark Lodge. Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Dinner and evening tour by canoe for Alligator Spotting .Overnight at the lodge. (B,D)
Day 8: Amazon Ecopark Lodge
Breakfast, Nature Walk-regional and return for lunch. After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents ("caboclos") with an opportunity for Piranha Fishing. Dinner and overnight. (B, G, D)
Day 9: Amazon Ecopark Lodge
Breakfast and full day tour to the Meeting of the Waters. with lunch. Following opportunity for Piranha Fishing Arrival at the lodge at 17h30. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 10: Amazon Ecopark Lodge - Manaus - Salvador
Breakfast and visit to the Monkey Jungle. Check-out and transfer to the airport of Manaus in time for your domestic flight to Salvador. On arrival at the International Airport of Salvador, our English speaking guide will welcome you (with name-board), you will be assisted with your luggage, followed by the Transfer to Pousada do Pilar***. Rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 11: Salvador
After breakfast you will be picked up by your guide for a half-day historical city tour. Starting in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the Bay with its famous lighthouse, followed by visits to the Pelourinho area with the largest and the best preserved complex colonial architecture in the Americas, the church of S. Francisco with its exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior and the Pelourinho square, the heart of the old town. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in your hotel. (B)
Day 12: Salvador
Day at leisure. Enjoy the beaches or make an optional excursion. Overnight in your hotel. (B)
Day 13: Salvador
Depending the departure time of your flight, time at leisure. Guided transfer to the airport in time for your domestic or international flight. (B)
