Itinerary

Very few birding trips to Brazil can be so exciting like this one!
Why? First because, Manaus is in everybody´s imagination, since their childhood, as  one of the most distant destinations!
When they heard first about Manaus, a city located in the heart of the largest tropical forest of the World: The Amazon Forest, combined with the location by the largest River, in amount of water of the world: The Amazon River! The imagination flies!...
But, if, in one hand the visitor will not find monkeys or jaguars walking on the streets, along the people, eventually, they will have Scarlet Macaws flying by and depending on the time of the year( Nov-Jan), we can have a flock of up to 12.000 White-winged Parakeets, roosting at downtown! The excitement continues with the other locations to be visited, such the Presidente Figueiredo where, up 15  Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock leking. In Novo Airão: The lek of  Wire-tailed Manakin, is mind blowing! And, last but, not least: Manacapuru may offer chances to watch the Point-tailed Palmcreeper( The only Palmcreeper for the entire South America) & One of the most beautiful hummingbirds of the Amazon Forest & Brazil: The Fiery Topaz that, eventually, can be combined  with the magnificent Purple-breasted Cotinga.

Sample itinerary:

1st. Day:   -  Arrival in Manus. Transfer  to the  Nobile Hotel.  Check in. Lunch. PM: Birding at the Pau Rosa Area. Return to the Nobile Hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

2nd. Day:  – Early morning transfer to Ilha Marchantaria. Birding All Day. Overnight at the Hotel Nobile.

3rd. Day - All morning birding at the Ducke Reserve. PM: MUSA Tower. Overnight  at the Nobile Hotel.

4th. Day - Check out. Transfer to  INPA TOWER( Located along the road to Presidente Figueiredo). Drive to Mari Mari Lodge ( The Home of the Guianian Cock-of-the-Rock!!!).  Check in. Lunch. PM: Birding.

5th. Day - Full Day Birding Mari Mari.

6th. Day - Full Day Birding Mari Mari. 

7th. Day - Full Day Birding Mari Mari. 

8th. Day - Drive to Novo Airão. Overnight. Check in. Lunch. PM: Birding. Overnight Suites Park

9th. Day  - Full Birding day at Novo Airão,  including Boat Ride to the Anavilhanas Island, for the Wire-tailed Manakin. Suites Park Hotel.

10th. Day  - Full day Birding Novo Airão.Overnight. 

11th.  Day - Transfer to Cirandeira Bela Lodge. Check in. Lunch. PM: Birding the grounds of the lodge.

12th. Day - Full Day Birding at Cirandeira Bela.Overnight.

13th. Day  - Full Day Birding at  Cirandeira Bela.Overnight

14th. Day   - Transfer to Manaus .
