Castelinho38 is a comfortable Small Hotel situated in one of the most charming and interesting areas of Rio, Santa Teresa. It is a spacious two-storey building with high ceiling and wooden floored corridors. Built in 1866, it is a classic example of the city’s eclectic architecture.

On the ground floor there are three suites facing the garden, Samambaia, Bananeira and Dama-da-Noite, and two triple Suites, Cactus and Goiabeira, with an extra single bed.
On the first floor, the three master suites, Bamboo, Bougainville and Limoeiro with the higher ceiling and view. Suite Deluxe Mangueira and Palmeira with Air Con and a superb view over city center and Guanabara Bay.
All of them have queen-sized beds, cotton bed linen, hot showers and fans. there are no TVs or A/C units in the rooms.

The terrace has a privileged view, that encompasses part of the city centre and some of the Baía de Guanabara. Whether in the bar, situated on the terrace, or in the garden, you can follow the progress of the famous Santa Teresa tram as it winds its way through the streets. There is a beautiful garden, where Coqueiro, Manga, Goiabeira, Jaqueira, Lemon and Banana Trees share the space with other species of the Atlantic Rainforest.
